Sequoia Integrated Medical Services is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Middleton, WI

Job Summary:

Nurse practitioners provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order tests and prescribe medication for children and adults. A nurse practitioner helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. They work primarly with inpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Nurse practitioners perform the important task of educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. They serve as a patient's primary healthcare provider.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient records.
  • Checks in with patients about prognoses.
  • Advises patients regarding prescriptions and treatment plans.
  • Follows all federal, state, and nursing guidelines, regulations, and standards.
  • Analyzes medical records and reports.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions
  • Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
  • Updates patient charts and uploads to software.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
  • Works with a team of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and doctors to provide quality patient care.
  • Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
  • Examines patients, including discussing medical history and symptoms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses in the state.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty is preferred.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited agency.
  • Master’s in Nursing required, Doctorate of Nursing preferred.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Collaborates with nurse practitioners, registered nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals.
  • Problem-solves well independently and as part of a team.
  • Develops strong relationships with patients and their families and has a stellar bedside manner.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: From $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
